Which 3M tint do you recommend for Miami heat?
3M Ceramic IR is our first recommendation when heat comfort is the priority. Its nano-ceramic technology reduces solar heat and UV exposure, and its metal-free construction does not interfere with GPS or mobile signals. It is also our most popular window film.
Do I need very dark tint to reduce heat?
No. Film technology controls heat performance; darkness controls how much visible light passes through. Ceramic IR offers lighter shades for drivers who want heat reduction with a more open view. Darker shades provide more privacy but also reduce visibility in low light.
What is included in my window tint estimate?
Your written estimate lists the 3M film series, shade, windows covered and installation price. Windshield coverage, extra glass and old-film removal are separate items unless specifically included. You see the scope and total before approving the work.
What does the 3M limited lifetime warranty cover?
For the original consumer, coverage lasts while they own the vehicle. Ceramic IR and Color Stable cover specified film and adhesion defects plus color retention. FX-HP covers specified film and adhesion defects but does not include color-retention coverage. Keep the completed warranty card and original invoice; warranty terms and exclusions apply.
When can I roll down my windows after tinting?
Wait at least 48 hours before opening or closing tinted windows, following 3M’s care instructions. This lets the adhesive bond to the glass. Keep the windows up longer if your installer advises it. Use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner when cleaning is permitted.
